33 Field Sqn
I joined the Squadron during there tour at Castle Dillion in Nov 1973.It was alright i suppose if you were into Ducks and sheep. It was made more intresting with the trips to Bandit country and the Border. We shared the camp with 4 Survey Troop RE.It was Funny most of the Sappers were posted in from Hereford maybe they had special skills required for scaffolding and wriggly tin construction.
On our return to Longmoor the Regiment was disbanded, AMFL troop got the shock of there lives and were moved to Tidworth, 10 Sqn moved to Laarbruck to support the RAF's Harriers,66 remained at Longmoor and 33 Ind Fld Sqn moved to the Bridge camp in Antrim.
